On a routine basis, LDI leaders provide data analysis-based recommendations in the form of policy papers, round-table discussions, and one-on-one consultations to Egyptian leaders from private and public sectors; including businessmen, government officials, and Members of Parliament. The purpose of this engagement is to encourage producing state policies that are highly sensitive to advancing human rights and civil freedoms.

Monitoring Elections and Evaluating Democratic Development

LDI has been monitoring all parliamentary elections, presidential elections, and public referendums taking place in Egypt since 2015. LDI produces detailed reports documenting the electoral process and providing a scientific evaluation of the political and legislative context of the elections to measure the progress of democratic transformation in Egypt over time.
